Your Photography Experience
When you arrive at the studio your photographer will discuss the photo shoot and make sure everyone is comfy and relaxed before you begin. It is important to us to tailor each session to the individual client. We will begin by discussing your aim for your experience: Are you planning to invest in a wall product? What style of portrait do you prefer? Is there a family photograph that you’d love to update or recreate? We’ll take the time to find out how we can make your time at the studio the best it can possibly be and create photographs you will love.
Once we know your goals, we will head into the studio where the fun begins! To help you relax we will start with some fun portraits. Once everyone is settled we’ll begin capturing a wide range of images of you and your family. By the end of the shoot you will have a mixture of family images, just the kids, individual photographs and many more!
To bring even more variety to your experience you can bring a change of clothing and choose from our various backgrounds to create some truly special, personal images.
Once your experience is finished you will be invited to relax on our sofas again while your photographer prepares your portraits. Don’t worry; we know how excited you’ll be to see your photographs so this bit doesn’t take long - around 10-15 minutes. Yes, you really can see them on the day!
Once ready, your photographer will show you into our private viewing suite were you can get comfy and your images will be projected in a cinematic view. Your images will be straight from the camera, but any that you order will be polished to perfection!
After you have watched all your photographs play through you will now decide how you want to display them in your home. We know that this may be tough as you will love so many, but your photographer is there to help. There are various products to choose from, including wall portraits, print collections and digital collections.
Once your selection has been made, we then complete your order and excitedly await the arrival of your beautiful finished portraits to the studio roughly 4 weeks later.
All that is left to do is display them in your home and cherish them for many years (and generations) to come!
Try to keep to similar colours or tones (Check that colours do not clash).
For relaxed & casual images make sure your clothes reflect this (i.e. don't wear suits). Please do avoid wearing any clothing with logos, slogans or characters on as this can brand your images.
White tops look great on grey background & colours look better on white background (so please bring a mixture of both).
Think about your complete image; jewellery, make up, (Men) shave carefully, painted nails, jackets & coats, dark socks, your hair style, bring a hair brush & hair clips if needed.
Decide if you would like shoes on or bare feet for your photo session (make sure everyone's the same).
Don't over dress babies, simple clothing looks the best on them.
We welcome the family dog to join in with you
Arrive at the studio ready to start your photo session (or arrive earlier to allow enough time to get ready)
Bring some sweets to use as a 'bribe' in an emergency if your child refuses to participant in the studio.
The studio is all on ground floor with plenty of space to maneuver wheelchairs & pushchairs.
We have a huge range of props, ride ons, suit cases, crates, back grounds, chairs etc to ensure we give you a wide variety. Feel free to bring anything along with you to make your experience more personal.
We have complete baby changing facilities
Don't worry about telling young children beforehand they are going to be photographed, the least said the better. There is no need to warn children to sit still or be good or smile.
Preparing for your viewing
Think how you would like your images displayed- how do you want to see them 10 years down the line?
Measure any possible wall space you may like to hang your portraits on so you know what will fit.
Ensure everyone wanting to purchase photographs is at the viewing as this is where all decisions and orders are made.
Payment for your order is taken at your viewing (part payment options are available upon request).
Young children often get very restless in viewings, feel free to bring food and entertainment.
Be prepared to be blown away with our photographic skills - seeing your family together in a natural style is very emotional.
