We’re searching for Chelmsford Dog of the Year 2026 — and your dog could win!

For just a £10 charity donation, you’ll receive:

The £10 charity donation is paid at your viewing appointment and goes directly to Dogs Trust Basildon.

You’ll view your portraits straight after your photo shoot.

How the winner is chosen:
The team at Dogs Trust Basildon will select their favourite portrait from each dog entered. From those selected portraits, they will then choose the overall winner.

• One entry per dog
• Maximum of three entries per household
• Up to three dogs may attend the photo shoot

By entering, you agree that your dog’s portrait may be used for competition and promotional purposes.

Chelmsford Dog of the Year 2026
In Support of Dogs Trust Basildon
1.Promoter
The competition is organised and promoted by Hammonds Photography Studio, Chelmsford. Established in 2010, the studio is multi award-winning in pet portrait photography and has photographed over 1,500 dogs.
2. Charity Partner
£10 per entry will be donated to Dogs Trust Basildon.
The £10 donation is payable at the viewing appointment.

3. Entry Rules

• Entry is £10 per dog.
• One entry per dog.
• Maximum of three entries per household.
• Maximum of three dogs may attend the portrait session.

4. Booking Deposit

A £35 refundable booking deposit is required to secure your portrait session.

The deposit is refunded at your viewing appointment.

5. Cancellation Policy

A minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.

Cancellations with less than 72 hours’ notice will result in the £35 deposit being retained.

6. What’s Included

Each valid entry includes:

• One professional dog portrait session
• Same-day viewing appointment immediately after the shoot
• One mounted 7x5” portrait (worth £75)
• One glass photo coaster (worth £25; exclusive product not available to purchase separately)

No further purchase is necessary to enter or win.

7. Portrait Usage

By entering the competition, participants agree that Hammonds Photography Studio may use images from the session for competition promotion, marketing, social media, website, studio display, and related publicity purposes. No compensation will be payable for such usage.

8. Studio Information

Hammonds Photography Studio is open 7 days a week.

9. Competition Period

Entries open March 2026 and close 31st October 2026.

10. Winner Selection

After 31st October 2026, the team at Dogs Trust Basildon will review all entered dogs.

• The team will choose their favourite portrait from each dog entered.
• From those selected portraits, they will then choose one overall winner.
• The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

11. Prize

The winner will receive:

• One 30-inch wall portrait (worth £599)
• A bundle of pet treats and toys

Prize is non-transferable and has no cash alternative.

12. General Conditions

• Hammonds Photography reserves the right to amend or withdraw the competition if required due to circumstances beyond its control.
